A one stop shop to help you take advantage of everything Summit has to offer, whether you're attending in-person or online.
The health and safety of everyone involved is a major priority for the Summit event team
In the run up to Summit we have been reviewing the latest public health and safety provisions and guidance on event entry requirements.
In order to ensure everyone's safety at the event, all attendees will be required to comply with all current health and safety provisions (at the time of the event, Nov 15-18), including those required under the King County Health Order, and the CDC provisions relating to the Covid pandemic and any other provisions implemented by Redgate at its discretion.
We have also been working closely with Visit Seattle in our planning for Summit and they have been collaborating with leaders and law enforcement in Seattle.
We will continue to follow Visit Seattle's guidance and keep attendees informed of any relevant updates as we receive them. For more information on traveling tips and local safety, download Visit Seattle's Safety & Security Tips.
Three themes will be running across this year's hybrid event
Technology, processes, and roles in the data industry are constantly shifting, but certain fundamentals continue to withstand the test of time. Learn how to master essential foundational skills and take advantage of tips and tricks to ensure you're following best practices.
Be on the cutting edge of progress. Learn about the newest emerging technologies and discover where trends are headed. Whether you want to future proof your career or learn how to adapt to take a more advanced approach. Summit has the training you need to upgrade your skills.
Great things are possible when you challenge the status quo. Hear from some of the leading innovators in the data industry and get inspired by what's in the pipeline, whether that be new features or an alternative approach that could set you onto a new path. Learn and embrace new technology, and find out how to overcome challenges in innovative ways.
Learning pathways are a curated and progressive series of sessions designed to guide you through a set of learning outcomes. The pathways lead you from a foundational knowledge through to mastering complex skills and concepts.
Get the most out of your experience
With so many sessions and events taking place over 3 days, it's important to plan out your conference week and build your schedule ahead of time. You can build your schedule two ways - through the schedule builder accessible through the PASS Data Community Summit Conference Sessions Catalog page or by using the PASS Data Community Summit app:
Tell colleagues you won't be available and disconnect from work emails and messaging apps during your week at Summit. This will help you fully immerse yourself in the week without any distractions.
This is your chance to follow-up directly with speakers during live Q&As, meet experienced data pros facing the same challenges you are, and connect with data platform experts and engineers to get immediate answers.
Whether you bump into someone in the hallways, or in the online SpatialChat Community Zone, the people you meet throughout the conference can lead to life-long connections that help you overcome challenges and unlock new career opportunities.
There are lots of opportunities for networking at Summit, including sponsor hosted events, community events, and Birds of a Feather luncheons as well as in the Community Zone and Exhibit Hall.
Many of the attendees and speakers are on Twitter so you can connect online before, during and after the event. Follow the hashtags #PASSDataCommunitySummit, #PASSDataSummit, #PASSSummit, and #SQLFamily which will help you find people as well as receive event updates.
Sponsors are there to help you learn about the products and solutions that can improve your performance. Take some time to visit our sponsor booths, share details about your business, ask questions, watch demos, and learn more about the latest technologies.
Join the conversation on Twitter and share your experience with the community by posting throughout the week using the hashtag #PASSDataCommunitySummit.
You can brush up your knowledge and revisit content post-event by purchasing access to recorded sessions for up to 12 months.
Stay in touch with the contacts you made during the event, you never know when they can help you overcome a challenge or find your next job.
There will be lots of amazing community events (including SQLKaraoke, #SQLKilt Day and much more), sponsor events, meet-ups , and prizes throughout the conference.
So get involved, have fun, and remember to sign up in advance for those that require it so you don't miss out!
Summit has a long history in the Washington State Convention Center (now called the Seattle Convention Center) and we're excited to host our first hybrid event in the place it all began.
The Seattle Convention Center (SCC) is centrally located in the heart of downtown Seattle and is a short walk or drive/ride share from accommodation around the city. Check out the Summit map for more details.
Getting around Seattle is easy and there are lots of great options for navigating to and from the conference center and must-see tourist destinations. Go to the Visit Seattle travel page for transportation in the city.

In-person attendees will have full access to both in-person and online sessions during the Summit week. There will be two on-site session rooms where in-person attendees can watch and participate in the online live stream sessions, as well as early access to on-demand sessions that will have a live Q&A during the week of Summit.
The online Summit will be hosted again this year through the RainFocus event platform. RainFocus was the platform used to host our successful conference in 2021, and it allows us to provide a great end-to-end experience. From registration, through to your Summit week, you'll be able to enjoy the full conference experience from the comfort of your home or office.
Online attendees can now log into the attendee portal and watch on-demand sessions, allowing you time to review pre-recorded sessions prior to the live speaker Q&As. Sessions presented live in Seattle will either be live-streamed and instantly available on the platform, or recorded, and then edited and added to the content catalog. Online passes include unlimited access to sessions for up to three months post-Summit.
You'll also have the opportunity to network around the clock with other attendees in an immersive online space. The Summit 2022 Community Zone will be powered by SpatialChat, an innovative platform designed to enable online, casual networking that feels as if you're in the same room as other online attendees.
Meet like-minded data professionals from around the world in our themed rooms and build lasting connections that can help you advance in your data career. The interactive online Community Zone that was a hit with the community in 2021 will be open all hours this year, thanks to community volunteers, who will help ensure it's a safe space for the Summit community to interact and engage with one another.
Online attendees will have access to all online and on-demand content, as well as any in-person live streamed sessions and keynotes - and will have post-Summit access for three months for free to access the in-person recorded sessions that were not available during the week of Summit.
