PASS Summit FAQ

Answers to the most common questions we get from the community.

General Questions

What's PASS Data Community Summit?

PASS Data Community Summit 2024 is the evolution of PASS Summit.

PASS Data Community Summit is the go-to conference for data professionals to connect, share, and learn with peers and industry leaders, and covers topics such as Analytics, Architecture, Database Management, Development and Professional Development on a variety of data platforms, including Microsoft, AWS, Google, PostgreSQL, and more.

To continue focusing on the human connections that make PASS Summit special, this year PASS Summit will take place in-person, in Seattle, November 4 - 8, 2024. Attendees will hear from industry-leading experts, make connections to advance their careers, and discover cutting-edge products and services for a variety of database platforms.

Why is it called PASS Data Community Summit?

PASS, the former Professional Association for SQL Server, no longer exists (and we're not trying to replace it), but PASS Summit has huge recognition within the data platform community, as well as a lot of good memories.

To build on that experience and legacy, and to affirm our commitment to the quality and breadth of content on offer, we've decided to keep PASS Summit as part of the name.

By adding 'Data Community', we're welcoming everyone who works with data to join in and connect, share and learn on a global scale.

Where's PASS Summit taking place?

PASS Summit 2024 will take place in Summit, Seattle Convention Centre, at 900 Pine St, Seattle, WA 98101, USA, in Seattle, November 4 - 8, 2024.

Will there be pre-cons this year?

3-day attendees will have on-demand access included as part of their ticket, and they will be able to watch recordings until January 31, 2025 (with the option to extend on-demand access until October 31, 2025 for a fee).

Other attendee types and non-attendees will have the ability to buy on-demand access for a fee, and this will mean they can watch recordings until October 31, 2025.

We will release more information on pricing, and how to buy on-demand packages, later in the year. Please note, on-demand recordings will be made available 4-6 weeks after PASS Summit 2024.
