2024 Calls for Speakers & Volunteers

February 29, 2024

Thanks to everyone who submitted a proposal for the PASS Summit 2024 Call for Speakers and Volunteers. We have now closed submissions.

2024 Community Call for Speakers:

Get your proposals ready! The Call for Speakers is now open and we’re eager to see what you’ll submit! This year’s call runs for six weeks, from February 29 – April 10, with an Early-bird deadline of March 31 for Pre-conference, Community Keynote, and Learning Pathway proposals.

To help get you started, we’ve put together a CFS Guide, full of details including, dates to remember, general info, speaker benefits, and session specifics. The guide also covers what we are looking for, how to get started, and of course, how to submit your proposal.

Once the early-bird deadline closes, we will work through our review and selection process in order to announce Pre-conference and Learning Pathway sessions between April 25 – May 2, with notification emails going out to all early-bird submitters between April 18 – 25. Those not selected will still be considered for the general program.

The general program will go through the review and selection process between April – June, with results going out to all submitters mid-June. We’re aiming to launch the general session announcement this Summer, so make sure you’re signed up to the PASS Summit mailing list to be the first to know.

2024 Call for Program Committee Volunteers:

We have also just opened our Call for Program Committee Volunteers which will be open for two weeks, from February 29 – March 13.

We are looking to fill 25 positions on the 2024 Program Committee, whose main function will be to complete the abstract review for the submitted proposals from this year’s Call for Speakers. The main timeline commitment will be April to May, with the opportunity to help on other tasks and onsite support as needed and depending on your availability.

As a thank you for volunteering, Program Committee members will receive a non-transferrable 3-day registration to Summit, as well as the extended on-demand access post-Summit.

Once the CFV closes on March 13, we will take 2-3 weeks to review and select the committee members, providing all applicants a notification email of results no later than April 5 and a kick off meeting to follow on April 11 for those selected.

Program Committee positions will be chosen based on knowledge and expertise within each of the session tracks and across topics. We will do our best to balance the 25 positions with a blend of experienced and new volunteers, so if you’re a veteran committee member, or if you’ve not yet had the chance, we encourage you to apply.
