Writing Tips From A Professional Novice
Louis Davidson
Over 25 years ago, I wrote my first book, and it was a rough process. I had never authored a paper longer than three pages prior to this, leading to a very painful process of rewriting and reorganizing the book. Once the book was published, I got a lesson on the value of reviews with my first being: “It bad, don’t buy it.” While there were plenty of good (and more thought out negative) reviews to come; multiple books and hundreds of blogs followed, all imparting many lessons on the writing process.
In this session, I will try to help you skip some of my mistakes by sharing as many tips as I can in 30-minutes without speed talking. Whether you follow them now or remember them after you make the same mistakes yourself a time or two, I will give you the tips I use daily to parlay my writing skill set into a professional career as a writer and editor.
A Simple Talks session.
