Using Kerberos to Authenticate Amazon RDS for SQL Server

Gene Mays

Kerberos has been the preferred authentication method for Microsoft since its introduction in Windows 2000. When spinning up an Amazon RDS for SQL Server instance, users want to make sure they use the most secure form of authentication. In this session, we will take a deep dive into setting up your connections and I will walk you through enabling Kerberos authentication once you add your Amazon RDS for SQL Server instance to a Managed Active Directory and some of the considerations to take into account to make it work.
