Using Apache Kafka to Replicate Data from Postgres to SQL Server

Marcelo Adade

You need to move data from Postgres (or any other RDBMS) into SQL Server, but Heterogeneous SQL Server Replication only works with Oracle and is marked as deprecated. We could use any third-party tool to achieve that, but it wouldn’t be scalable.

How about borrowing a great tool from the Big Data World? Apache Kafka is originally used for High-volume data ingestion and can be used to achieve a successful replication virtually from any data source into any destination!
