To Be a Data Engineer
Kevin Feasel
With the proliferation of data handling technologies, data movement practices, and techniques for analyzing and making better use of the data, a key industry role has emerged: the data engineer.
In this first lesson of the Azure Data Engineering learning pathway, we will gain a better understanding of what it means to be a data engineer, focusing on tooling in the Microsoft cloud ecosystem. We will use a simulated customer conversation to get a bearing on the types of activities a data engineer performs. Along with the customer conversation, we will plan and lay out the foundation for a data engineering project which will span the entire learning pathway, letting you see a customer’s dreams come to fruition.
