Migrating Over 350 SQL Instances to AWS in Less than 14 Months

This session will give the audience a real-life example of migrating a FinTech client with over 350 SQL instances across multiple Windows failover clusters in two data centers, to a multi-region AWS SQL on EC2 architecture, in less than 14 months.

It was critical to ensure that uptime, performance and latency were not compromised, which led us to selecting FSx/OnTAP at the storage layer. We will cover the considerations that went into the technology selection, the migration preparation and execution, as well as the key learnings along the way. The audience will leave with an honest and uncensored perspective.
