Elena Marquetti-Ali

The main character in this story, You, is the ambitious leader of an organization. They are passionate about their work, but finds themselves struggling with creating an effective team. You is frustrated and defeated as they watch less-qualified people around them rise in success.

You meets an old friend, Elena, at a conference discussing Magnetic Leadership. She explains that if you build a positive environment, people will be drawn to it, and that their team could benefit from their vision and motivation. Inspired by her words, You decides to take a leap of faith and invest in the team’s growth and development.

You begins to invest in new resources and programs for the organization, such as building a professional development program and offering perks like flexible hours. You also starts to set higher expectations for the team as well as themself. As the team members begin to understand their roles better and grow more comfortable with each other, they start to take initiative more often. They become more united as a group and this spills over to their community. The organization begins to experience a more positive reputation and more loyal customers.
