Fabric Architecture: Data Warehouse or Lakehouse, Which is the Right Choice?

When determining the best data storage solution in Microsoft Fabric for your curated layer, selecting between a Lakehouse and a Warehouse is a difficult decision. Since both provide the ability to allow access via a SQL Endpoint, charge only when queried, use TSQL, include data masking and other features commonly associated with SQL Server, how do you determine which is the best choice for your organization?

In this session we will look at the architecture decisions that determine which to choose, and we’ll also demonstrate how you can convert a dedicated pool from Azure Synapse DW into a lakehouse.
