Enhancing Our Events With Your Insights

Now that Call for Speakers has launched, and as we prepare to open registration for PASS Summit 2025 and PASS Summit On Tour 2025, we want to emphasize the importance of sharing as much about your background as you feel comfortable with.

Data-Driven Growth: Let’s Measure Our Success Together!

As data professionals, we recognize the immense power of data in driving decisions and fostering growth. When more individuals provide demographic information, we gain a clearer and more accurate picture of our speaker pool. This information not only helps us measure our progress effectively year over year, but also allows us to understand how we are evolving and whether our efforts are making a meaningful impact. By providing this information, you contribute to a data-driven approach that enhances the quality of our event, and whether you consider yourself to be from a diverse background or not, we encourage everyone to provide demographic data in their applications, as long as you are comfortable doing so.

Why Demographics Matter

Providing background information helps us understand the diverse backgrounds and perspectives of our speakers. Here are a few reasons why this information is crucial:

  1. Representation Matters: When attendees see themselves reflected in the speakers and sessions, it fosters a sense of belonging and encourages greater participation.
  2. Diverse Perspectives: A diverse lineup of speakers brings a variety of viewpoints and experiences, enriching the learning experience for everyone.
  3. Understanding Our Speakers: The more people provide their demographics, the more accurate our picture of who our speakers are becomes. This helps us understand our audience better and shape the event accordingly.
  4. Measuring Growth: Collecting demographic information allows us to measure our progress accurately year on year. This data helps us understand how we are growing, and whether our efforts are impactful.

Call for Speakers

We are delighted to have launched the Call for Speakers for all PASS Summit events in 2025, and look forward to discovering the variety of topics put forward in your proposals.

If you are thinking about submitting sessions to any of our events, we’d love to see your insights in action! Remember to showcase your information with a Data-Driven approach so we can strive to continuously improve.

PASS Summit On Tour: Dallas | September 15-16

PASS Summit On Tour: Netherlands | October 1-2

PASS Summit 2025: Seattle | November 17-21

The new PASS Summit On Tour series are two-day events packed with opportunities to Connect, Share, and Learn. Each PASS Summit On Tour features a pre-conference day with eight 3-hour Deep Dive sessions, followed by a second day of twenty-five 60-minute general sessions, and will bring the most popular elements of PASS Summit to your local region.

PASS Summit 2025, held in the Summit Building at the Seattle Convention Center, will feature over 200 sessions: 14 pre-conference sessions and over 170 general sessions consisting of Deep Dive, Learning Pathway, General-60 (60-minute sessions), General-75 (75-minute sessions), as well as lightning talks, panel sessions and keynotes.

The planning of this year’s conference is weighted heavily on the feedback received in our attendee survey given out at the end of each PASS Summit, and the feedback we receive from our annual Insights survey, which is typically sent out in January/February.

For this year’s Insights survey, we received feedback from 380 community members and have consolidated the top findings in this handy infographic: PASS Insights Survey, which we hope will inspire and guide your session submissions.

Whether you’re a seasoned speaker or a new presenter, there has never been a better time than now, to make an impact and to share your knowledge, while contributing to the collective growth of the PASS community.

Between now and April 8, we’ll be accepting general submissions, and, as we’ve done in the past, have an Early Bird deadline of March 25 for those interested in submitting Pre-conference sessions and Learning Pathway proposals. For complete details, please review our respective Call for Speakers guides:

Don’t wait! Get your proposals together and log in to the Call for Speakers portal to submit to any or all of our events this year!

One housekeeping note we’d like to share; our PASS Program team has doubled! Please join me in welcoming Jemma Hunter (many of you are already acquainted, as she’s been involved in PASS Summit since 2021) to our team!

If you have any questions as you navigate this year’s Call for Speakers, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us at speakers@passsummit.com.
