General Questions

When and where will PASS Data Community Summit 2026 events take place?

ASS Summit’s events will take place in three locations: Chicago in May, Frankfurt in June, and Seattle in November. Click the location tab at the top of this page for more information on each event.

What’s PASS Data Community Summit?

PASS Data Community Summit is the go-to conference series for data professionals to connect, share, and learn with peers and industry leaders, and covers topics such as Analytics, Architecture, Database Management, Development and Professional Development on a variety of data platforms, including Microsoft, AWS, Google, PostgreSQL, and more.

Why is the event called PASS Data Community Summit?

PASS, the former Professional Association for SQL Server, no longer exists (and we’re not trying to replace it), but PASS Summit has huge recognition within the data platform community, as well as a lot of good memories.

To build on that experience and legacy, and to affirm our commitment to the quality and breadth of content on offer, we’ve decided to keep PASS Summit as part of the name.

By adding ‘Data Community’, we’re welcoming everyone who works with data to join in and connect, share and learn on a global scale.

How can I stay up-to-date with what’s happening?

The best way to stay up-to-date is to sign up to the PASS Summit mailing list, where you’ll receive the latest announcements. You might also like to follow us on LinkedIn. Don’t forget to use #PASSDataSummit to see what others are saying.

What content will be covered at PASS Data Community Summit?

You’ll hear from industry-leading experts, make connections that can help advance your career, and discover cutting-edge data platform solutions.

We’ll release more information on the program, speakers and Keynotes later in the year.

Will there be hybrid access available?

All events will take place in-person in each location.

No sessions at PASS Summit East or PASS Summit Europe will be recorded. At PASS Summit West, the Keynotes will be recorded along with sessions taking place in one room (these will be the highest-rated and most popular sessions).

The recordings from PASS  Summit West will be made available on-demand after the event to attendees, as well as publicly on the Video Library.

What happened to PASS?

The PASS organization ceased operations in January 2021 and Redgate acquired its assets.

Where can I find the event Code of Conduct?

How can I become a volunteer?

The Call for Program Committee Volunteers is now open, please read this blog post for more information.

What’s happening with the 2026 Call for Speakers?

Thanks for your patience with the CFS this year. We remain dedicated hosting PASS Summit for the data community and thank you for your interest in joining us as a speaker.

We’d hoped to launch CFS earlier than usual, but due to reasons outside of our control this process has taken longer than usual this year. Taking on board feedback from 2025, this year PASS Summit will have one single CFS for all three events.

The Call for Speakers is now open, please read this blog post for more information.

Why has the venue for PASS Summit in Seattle changed from the Seattle Convention Center?

To diversify the PASS Summit program and make it more accessible for the global data community to attend we’re now offering three events in three different locations.

As a result, we’ve chosen the Hyatt Regency Seattle as our venue this year. It’s the largest hotel in the Pacific Northwest, it’s Seattle’s first LEED Gold-Certified Hotel, and is the second highest green building rating in the world.

You can expect the same high-quality learning and networking opportunities, but in a venue that’s more accessible and better suited to our needs in 2026.

Why are there three events taking place this year?

We’ve heard your feedback: many data professionals are facing increasing challenges in securing time and budget for week-long events. By offering a broader range of events in more locations, we remain committed to supporting and empowering the data community.

Our goal is to make PASS Summit even more inclusive, delivering the same high-quality learning and networking opportunities to the next generation of data professionals and reaching a wider global audience. Building on the success of PASS Summit On Tour in 2025, and the legacy of PASS Summit in Seattle, we believe this evolution will better serve the global data community.
