PASS Summit Scholarship 2025

We’re excited to bring back the PASS Summit Scholarship for 2025, with a renewed focus on inclusivity, accessibility, and supporting emerging data professionals from all backgrounds. This year, we’re expanding eligibility to encompass all tech professionals, including career changers, newcomers, and supporting individuals from organizations with limited learning and development budgets, enabling them to attend PASS Summit. Proudly sponsored by Redgate, the scholarship aligns with Redgate's long-standing commitment to the database community and accessibility for its events.

What Does the Scholarship Entail?

We're offering 13 scholarships for this year's event, which is taking place November 17-21, 2025, in Seattle. Each winning applicant will receive:

3-Day Ticket to PASS Data Community Summit. This ticket will provide access to all three full days of PASS Summit.

Includes entry to all General Sessions, the Keynotes, the Exhibit Hall, Community Zone, Welcome Reception and the Exhibitor Reception.
This ticket also includes On-Demand access to all recorded sessions until Wednesday, January 31, 2026.

US$1,400 towards flights, accommodation and expenses.

Applicants will need to complete this form by June 30, 2025 to be eligible.

Who Can Apply:

We welcome applications from individuals who meet the following criteria:

Are 21 years of age or older
Are pursuing or have completed studies in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field. This includes university degrees, certification programs, or equivalent experience
And/or are actively exploring or advancing a career in technology, including those transitioning from other fields
And/or can demonstrate a commitment to learning with a strong academic or professional track record
Can explain how funding will support their continued learning and development

Successful applicants will be asked to engage in promotional activities (such as sharing their experience at PASS Summit on social media) before, during, and after the conference until December 31, 2026.

What's the Deadline?

Applications will be accepted from June 2, 2025 until June 30, 2025.

What Happens Next?

Applications Reviewed

Applications will be reviewed within 3 weeks by our Program Committee Special Projects Volunteers, and the Scholarships will be announced shortly after decisions had been made.

Winning Applicants Notified

We will contact selected applicants with registration details and a code for a complimentary 3-Day Ticket. Up to US$1,400 will be provided for travel and accommodation, with any extra costs being the individual's responsibility. Applicants can use PASS Summit hotel discounts or find their own accommodation.

Winners must participate in promotional activities as outlined in the application form and Terms and Conditions. The PASS Summit team will coordinate with them on this.

Register and Book Travel

Each winner will need to register for PASS Summit 2025 on the website and redeem their unique code at checkout during the registration process, granting them a complimentary 3-Day Ticket to the conference.

Each winner will remain responsible for arranging their travel and/or accommodation before the conference, and they will need to ensure they're able to cover any expenses incurred during the event. The $1,400 Scholarship issued by Redgate in advance should hopefully cover some, if not all, of this.

Winning applicants will also be asked to engage in promotional activities, as outlined in the application form and Terms and Conditions. The PASS Summit team will liaise with the winners on this.

Please note, in order to help us reach as broad an audience as possible, anyone already awarded a complimentary ticket to PASS Summit 2025 (e.g. Speakers who are accepted into the PASS Summit 2025 program) will not be eligible for a complimentary ticket via this Scholarship. Entries for multiple students and employees from the same organization are allowed.
