KQL for the Beginner

KQL or Kusto Query Language is a new language driving many of Microsoft’s latest products such as Azure Data Explorer (ADX), Azure Sentinel and Azure Log Analytics, meaning that if you are responsible for monitoring and analyzing Azure resource usage then ADX is a must-learn for your career.

KQL is not only used to query log data but has also become very popular for real-time time data processing such as IOT with rich support for time series analysis as well as anomaly detection. While KQL has some similarities to SQL, it brings a new approach and syntax to querying data. During this session you will be introduced to many of the key KQL statements and how these statements are chained together to filter, rearrange, enrich or aggregate data.
