Adding PowerShell to your DBA Toolbox!

Ben Miller

Look, we all have a lot to do today and who couldn’t use a way to get more done in less time, in fact, wouldn’t it be nice to have some things done while you are away from the office and still know what happened in the job? This session is all about Tools you can use every day. Did you know PowerShell is already in your day to day tools? In this session you will learn how you can use SSMS and still leverage PowerShell. To never lose how you did a thing and to be able to use it over and over again. Have you ever done that with a click? Did you know Azure Data Studio is installed now when you install SSMS? You will learn how you can leverage that relationship to do more with PowerShell. The goal of this session is to get you on a path quickly to getting more done in the PowerShell ecosystem by using quick one-liners as well as using dbatools and SQLServer modules to go further and faster than you can go clicking your way home. You don’t even have to be a master to get started, you just have to want to do more in a shorter time. Join me in my Quest to become a PowerShell DBA.
