Running PostgreSQL in a Kubernetes Cluster: CloudNativePG
Nick Ivanov
It is a common misconception that one cannot, or should not, run a database in a container. In fact, many, if not most, managed database services run as containers in Kubernetes clusters, providing highly available, reliable, secure, fast access to data. CloudNativePG, the open source Kubernetes operator for PostgreSQL, provides evidence of the maturity of this approach. In this session we will demonstrate how to install and manage a database cluster using CloudNativePG, and discuss common operations and best practices of running databases on Kubernetes.
