Shared datasets can help reduce the cost and complexity of fragmented data, also known as data silos, within an organization. By using shared datasets, developers can save time and resources by only having to maintain a single dataset instead of multiple unique ones. Additionally, shared datasets can prevent discrepancies and ensure consistent logic across reports. We will also cover how to configure datasets for enhanced user experiences, enable row level security (RLS) to protect sensitive data, publish datasets for optimal sharing and distribution, promote or certify datasets for increased exposure, and view usage metrics to track usage and users.
