Data performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and tuning is a journey, not a destination. Understanding the workload of your data-intensive application and the performance capabilities of Azure SQL is just the first step, but you still need to monitor and performance-tune your database. In the cloud, improving performance can directly lower your costs, making it important to manage and optimize on a regular basis.

In this demo-centric session, we will show you how to monitor and troubleshoot Azure SQL / Managed Instance database performance issues with new and old sets of tools. We will also demonstrate how to juggle cost and performance to find the optimal balance between low cost and high performance of your Azure SQL database with scalability. We will generate SQL Analytics-powered database scorecards for trend analysis.
