In today’s software development life cycle, Developers are continually looking to develop faster, promote code quicker, automate deployments, and put code first. DBAs, on the other side, want to ensure that the deployment works as expected, doesn’t take production down, and a host of other items.
To reconcile this, Microsoft created SQL Server Data Tools (SSDT) in 2008 and has continually improved upon the original product. This tool will allow both teams a common framework for development and deployment needs. It can also provide DBAs earlier access to code changes for review.
Join me as I do an A-Z demo of SSDT beginning with how to get started, and ending with how to complete a full deployment – with a few fun items sprinkled in for fun.
