Figuring out your data certification path can be hard, especially if you are interested in different technologies or unsure where you want to go in your career.

Over the years I have gained a reasonable number of Microsoft certifications. Over that time, I have helped others in the community with their questions about Microsoft certifications and now I get to coach others for them in an official capacity.

With this in mind, I share some of the things that I have learned over the years whilst gaining various Microsoft certifications. Plus, I cover some certification paths some of you might want to consider depending on where you want to go with your data career, including some non-Microsoft ones.
