PowerShell and dbatools Tips and Scripts for the DBA
Josh Handler
You just made the jump from Dev to DBA. You are the new DBA at a new job. You are the accidental DBA. You just want more insight into the MS SQL environment. This is the session for you, during which we will dig into how you can quickly set up some jobs with the provided scripts and immediately get deep insight into your environment. By the end of this session, you will have all the information to not only find things (which server is a database on, what databases are on a server, when was the last full backup, when was the last log backup, etc.), but also have the data to create things like trend analysis for storage usage at both the server level and DB level, and alerts for missed events (did a full backup happen last night?). We will also give you scripts that you can use in other aspects of your PowerShell coding adventures.
